The case of Blackstone serves as a prime example. The New Mexico government ordered them to reverse their entire $400 million deal with TXNM. Blackstone was fined $200,000, while TXNM faced a $100,000 fine, not to mention the internal cost losses incurred from the initial transaction, adding to Blackstone’s challenges.
